松本城
国宝五城の一つ。築城1615年。アルプスを背景にした美しい姿が日本一と評される「烏城」。

1611年築城。現存天守を持つ東北唯一の城。桜の名所としても有名。重要文化財。

松島瑞巌寺（宮城）
828年に創建された臨済宗の古刹。伊達政宗が1609年に大改修。国宝の本堂と国宝の庫裏（くり）がある。松島四大観でも有名。

毛越寺（岩手・平泉）
奥州藤原氏が建立した天台宗の寺院。浄土庭園が国の特別史跡・特別名勝に指定。中尊寺金色堂と共に世界遺産に登録。

1124年、奥州藤原氏初代清衡が建立。内外に金箔を施した阿弥陀堂。世界遺産登録。平安時代の浄土信仰を今に伝える。

旧伊達藩武家屋敷（角館・秋田）
佐竹藩の武家町として栄えた角館。黒板塀の武家屋敷が当時の面影を残す。「みちのくの小京都」と呼ばれる。

鶴ヶ城（会津若松城・福島）
1384年築城。戊辰戦争で新選組も籠城した名城。現在の天守は1965年に再建。
