The Kansai region is a festival mecca with Gion Festival (Kyoto) and Tenjin Festival (Osaka), two of Japan’s three major festivals.千年以上の歴史を持つ格式高い祭りから、地域に根付いた活気あふれる祭りまでご紹介します。
● 祗园祭～京都
日本三大祭りの筆頭で、約1100年の歴史を誇る八坂神社の祭礼。 Shinto rituals are held for a month from July 1st to 31st, and the highlight is the float parade on the 17th (pre-festival) and 24th (post-festival).ユネスコ無形文化遺産にも登録。
日期：2026年7月1日（星期三）-7月31日（星期五）

● 天神节 ~ 大阪
日本三大祭りの一つ。大阪天満宮の祭礼で、約100隻の船が大川を行き交う「船渡御」と、約5000発の奉納花火がクライマックス。

●岸和田だんじり祭（きしわだだんじりまつり）
大阪府岸和田市の勇壮な祭り。 This is a traditional event that has been going on since the Edo period, in which danjiri floats weighing about 4 tons run through the city at speeds of over 40km/h.威猛而又危险的杂技让观众们惊叹不已。

● Kobe Festival (Kobe Festival)
神戸市最大の市民祭り。 It is characterized by an international parade, with traditional costumes and dances from all over the world, creating a lively atmosphere that can only be found in the multicultural city of Kobe.

地点：兵库县神户市（三宫、元町周边）

● Nara Tokae (Nara Toukae)

The Kansai region is a festival mecca, home to the Gion Festival (Kyoto) and Tenjin Festival (Osaka), two of Japan’s three major festivals. We will introduce you to prestigious festivals with a history of more than a thousand years to lively festivals that are rooted in local communities.
● Gion Festival ~ Kyoto
This festival at Yasaka Shrine boasts a history of approximately 1,100 years and is one of Japan’s three major festivals. Shinto rituals are held for a month from July 1st to 31st, and the highlight is the float parade on the 17th (pre-festival) and 24th (post-festival). It is also registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Highlights: The sight of 31 floats circling the streets of Kyoto is a sight to behold. “Yoiyama” the night before was also full of emotion.
● Tenjin Festival ~ Osaka
One of Japan’s three major festivals. The festival at Osaka Tenmangu Shrine climaxes with the “Funatogyo,” in which about 100 boats go back and forth on the Okawa River, and about 5,000 votive fireworks.

● Kishiwada Danjiri Festival (Kishiwada Danjiri Festival)
A brave festival in Kishiwada City, Osaka Prefecture. This is a traditional event that has been going on since the Edo period, in which danjiri floats weighing about 4 tons run through the city at speeds of over 40km/h. The audience was thrilled by the powerful and dangerous acrobatics.

● Nara Tokae (Nara Toukae)
A fantastic event that illuminates the entire Nara Park area with the light of approximately 20,000 candles. The world heritage sites of Todaiji and Kofukuji are bathed in soft light, making you feel like you’re in another world.

● 기온 축제 (기온 축제) ~ 교토
일본 3대 축제의 필두로, 약 1100년의 역사를 자랑하는 야사카 신사의 제례. 7월 1일부터 31일까지 한 달에 걸쳐 신사가 열리고, 하이라이트는 17일(전제)와 24일(후제)의 산호 순행. 유네스코 무형문화유산에도 등록.

● 기시와다 단지리 축제(기시와다 단지리 축제)
오사카부 기시와다시의 용장한 축제. 에도 시대부터 계속되는 전통 행사로, 무게 약 4톤의 단지리(산차)가 시속 40km 이상의 스피드로 거리를 질주. 그 박력과 위험한 곡예적인 기술에 관객은 대흥분.

● 나라등화회(그렇다면 우카에)
나라 공원 일대를 약 2만 그루의 촛불의 등불로 물들이는 환상적인 이벤트. 세계 유산의 도다이지와 코후쿠지가 부드러운 등불에 싸여 마치 다른 세계.
